Ryan Alexander spent much of his formative years in the Midwest before moving to California. Ryan discovered digital art in high school and became hooked on film, illustration, photography, and anything else that could be combined in the digital realm. In 2001 Ryan began a full-time job implementing his technical and artistic skills at Santa Barbara City College’s School of Media Arts. Managing a computer lab for other digital artists provided daily exposure to new tools, techniques, and ideas as well as the satisfaction of helping diverse groups of artists realize their dreams. After working with thousands of creative students, Ryan was inspired to go back to school to study art and transition his career into becoming a full-time artist. He graduated from California State Channel Islands in 2014 with a BA in Studio Art and is now an illustrator, photographer, and mixed-media sculptor. Ryan continues to live and work in Santa Barbara, California.
